My Grandma

My grandma was born in nineteen forty one September 6^th in Sri Lanka. She works in a University as a Lecturer. So now she is sixty- eight years old. Her name is Chithra and her English name is Lily. She is Buddhist, that means she worships Buddha. Lily is one of my favorite grandmas. She teaches me how to cook, plant flowers in her garden and tells me different sentences to worships Buddha, I love her so much because she is my beloved grandma. Her favorite sari [dress] is a pinkish brown one. She calls me a true beloved sunshine. So I will start calling her my one and only beloved queen. She loves cooking, reading books, and helping people. I love grandma so much because she’s very nice to us. She is loving and caring and does her things in time.

She has friends in her neighborhood and when ever she meets them, she asks them to come over. She is intelligent and brave. She’s very innocent and not strict. Her favorite subject is history and Social studies. Grandma is the oldest in the family because my grandpa died when my mother was small. But my other grandma [father’s mom] is older than my mum’s mom, well she is really not part of the story. Any way back to the story, she loves us because we are her granddaughters. She is the friendliest grandma and she smells like a Lily pad. We are your love and your heart Lily.
